I'm sure you already did your homework on this, but thought I'd mention it just in case... pellet stoves are on the list of energy efficient products and improvements that qualify for the Federal Tax Credit for Energy Efficiency. (Maine may also offer tax credits). You've made so many improvements to your home this year, you may find other things you've done that qualify. (And Dave S., take note: this can help bolster your case for getting a pellet stove - as well as insulation, which also qualifies - before the New Year!)Laloofahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07256023593175821427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564547797988349626.post-42849548662927602292009-12-06T16:56:59.752-08:002009-12-06T16:56:59.752-08:00I am very jealous of those stoves! I am working on convincing Laura to get one....it'll be a while I think :( Hope all is going well :)

Dave S.Staffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11121992963725044486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2564547797988349626.post-25976849805383269132009-12-03T17:30:39.737-08:002009-12-03T17:30:39.737-08:00Aren't pellet stoves great? We replaced an ugly, dirty, nasty, smelly, vile, messy, labor-intensive (can you tell I wasn't fond of it?) wood/coal burning insert in our living room with a lovely, clean QuadraFire pellet stove about 14 years ago and just love it. It heats the entire upstairs using 2-3 tons of pellets a year that we store in the garage. Are you sure some of that toasty feeling you're enjoying doesn't come in part from lugging big buckets of pellets up from the basement? :-) Enjoy a cozy winter snuggled up by your new pellet stoves!Laloofahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07256023593175821427noreply@blogger.com
